Having to Prove Myself

By Anonymous Aviation Professional

I have a genetic mutation called neurofribromatosis, based on the FAAs outdated rules, I can’t get any medical.

However, from doctors notes and MRI scans that prove I’m asymptotic I can hold my 1st class. I have to get an MRI every other year that costs thousands of dollars just to prove that I don’t have any symptoms or tumors that can grow on my nervous system or optic nerve. Not only do I have to deal with a potentially humiliating condition, the FAA threatens you with legal action.

Our health care and the FAAs medical system are unbelievably ridiculous.
