Battle with PTSD: Trust Me, You CAN Overcome This.

By Anonymous Pilot I faced my own battle with PTSD and depression after being hit by a drunk driver. This was exacerbated from the recent divorce, loss of job, income, belongings, and household. There were times when I wasn’t able to make ends meet or put food on the table.

It 2.5 years to ease out of the funk and get into a more healthy, stable living situation. Those times that occurred then helped me prepare for what happened during the COVID pandemic-losing a decent paying job as a Captain.

Trust me when I say, you can overcome this and you will be able to overcome this.

Pilots have a remarkable amount of resilience. The other part: talk to your friends, and family. The peer support network is absolutely strong and viable.
